What is Individual Therapy?
Individual Therapy also knowns as counseling, talk therapy or psychotherapy is a process designed to help you understand yourself better and navigate life's challenges. It’s a safe, confidential space where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be affecting your well-being. I offer a grounded, collaborative path to reclaim your peace, navigate your loss with compassion, and build a future free from the shadow of the past.
What to Expect from Therapy?
Initially, we'll work together to identify your goals and what you'd like to achieve. Over time, you'll learn new coping skills, gain insight into your patterns, and develop strategies to manage challenges. Opening up and being vulnerable can bring up feelings of nervousness, uncomfortable, “weirdness”….but don’t worry I will be guiding you through the process and in the meantime building a safe and trustworthy therapeutic relationship.
Family Therapy
Family therapy shifts the focus from individual to the family. I help the family identify negative interaction cycles, teaching the family as whole on how to improve communication, shifting perspective to noble intentions, and most important how to feel (emotionally and physically) safe as a family again.
